Foothill Gym

It's hard to tell who has received more praise–Foothill Gym, or its owner, Brian Whelan. Brian, an accomplished executive and avid body builder, has received titles ranging from Mr. Muscle Beach to Most Inspirational Bodybuilder. The gym itself has been named among the area’s best fitness centers for the past six years and proudly displays a mission flag awarded by the 40th Infantry Division of the US Army.

Though both the owner and location continue to earn a bevy of awards, the true focus of Foothill Gym’s instructors is to help guests find their ideal physique. They offer one-on-one guidance during personal-training sessions and oversee more social workouts during weekly Group X fitness classes. Independent exercisers can take to an extensive free-weight and resistance-machine space for sessions that burn calories and develop muscle more efficiently than building a bonfire out of ripped phone books.
