$15 for a 60-Minute Swinging Bridge Adventure for Two ($29.90 Value)

The Bridge to Prosperity, the longest swinging bridge in America, sways slightly in the wind as intrepid adventurers traverse its 400-foot length. Anchored with more than 90 tons of concrete, the thrilling-but-safe bridge boasts a weight capacity of 24,000 pounds. After crossing over Dunn’s Gorge and landing at Prosperity Mountain, guests meander across a 30-foot bridge over Lost Mine Falls and watch the gushing water from between the suspended wooden slats. Children younger than 8 years old can come along for free.

Foxfire Mountain Adventures

Foxfire Mountain Adventures introduces guests to the exhilarating heights of Foxfire Mountain with a zip-line course, swinging bridges, and on-ground safari tours. Built in accordance with certified engineers’ ACCT safety standards, the seven-line zip-line course careens through the breathtaking canopy on 60-foot to 1,500-foot lengths at a time. The territory’s swinging bridges sway gently over gorges and waterfalls, each cemented into the mountain and carefully inspected each morning so visitors can appreciate the greenery and the water rushing below in complete safety. For a greater traversal of the park’s 150 acres of wilderness, land dwellers can take a trip in an all-terrain Bear Crawler, an open air vehicle able to scale mountains, cross creeks, and transform into a baby bear to escape detection.

The Groupon Guide to: Shoveling Snow

If you don't remove snow, it will build up until it covers your car, house, and even your four tall brothers who stay outside guarding the house. Here's how you can free your property from this white monster:

  • Start by picking out your shovel. The proper shovel size is as long as your arm span and large enough to incapacitate a raccoon.

  • Use the proper form when shoveling so that you don't hurt your back. Proper form is to squat all the way down on the ground, lay the shovel full of snow across your knees, and then stand up very suddenly, jerking the shovel above your head and holding it with both hands.

  • Remove the snow from your front walkway first. It might be snowing outside, but you still never know when an attractive salesperson or giant-check delivery man might stop by.

  • Continue by shoveling all of the snow from the front yard and putting it in the street. Look at all of the grass you freed.

I'll handle that raccoon.
