$59 for a Four-Hour Photography Class ($450 Value)
During four-hour classes, students learn about f-stops, lighting techniques, exposures, and shutter speed before exercising their skills in photo shoots around downtown Lee’s Summit. Students should bring their own digital SLR cameras, but cameras will be available for use during some classes. Click here to see the schedule of classes; there are over two dozen class times to choose from. If you have a group of 12 or more people, a class time will be scheduled for you specifically.
Founder and professional shutterbug Mike Freeland calls on more than two decades of photographic experience and camera-handling in shoots ranging from staged portraiture to mostly improvised weddings. Joined by a team of 10 other photo pros, Freeland Photography captures moments during special and corporate events, documents images for commercial businesses' new products, facilities, and client interactions, provides photo coverage for political or advertising campaigns, and invites families into the studio to strike poses before being frozen in carbonite. Freeland Photography was recently inducted into The Knot's Wedding Hall of Fame.
