Questions and Answers

I have a super 8 film that I made in collage and it is edited (spliced) together. Would that be an issue in the conversion process? Thank you.

Tony C. asked 8 months, 4 days, 2 hours, and 50 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Thanks for the question, Tony! That should not be an issue at all. Our pricing is $0.18 per foot, so your Groupon can cover up to 333 feet. Our skilled technicians will repair splices, clean dust and dirt, stabilize images and reduce flicker for better viewing quality, enhance the footage to improve color and lighting, and digitally remove blank footage and leader film! I would like to transfer from a mini to dvd which I understand is 19.99. However I would like 3 or 4 copies of that dvd. Do you charge extra to make copies of the same dvd or would I be able to make copies myself?

Sherri T. asked 8 months, 5 days, 2 hours, and 46 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Hi Sherri! You have the option to include additional DVD copies at $8.99 each with your order. The YesDVD is copyrighted, but not copy protected. This means that YesVideo owns the design of the product and software on the DVD, but certainly not the content-- so if you have software on your computer, you will also be able to create your own DVDs using the files on your DVD. Hi I was wondering if the size of the pictures we submit matters? Does it matter if some of the pictures are 8 by 10s? Thank you

Viviana H. asked 8 months, 5 days, 6 hours, and 23 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Great question, Viviana! We can transfer photos up to 8" x 12", so we'll definitely be able to transfer your size. Each image is captured at 12 mega pixels and is priced at $0.49. Since the Groupon value is for $60 worth of our service, up to 122 images will be covered with your Groupon. You will receive a disc with highest quality digital JPEG files to view and copy on your computer. To learn more about our service and great Groupon deal, you can also visit our website here.

I believe I read somewhere in your add that you can convert pictures into digital cd's or dvds. How many pictures would it take in order to take full advantage of the cost paid? Also, I am looking at the groupon deal which is including a $5 coupon off any groupon so I take it to mean I could take full advantage of the deal for a total cost of $14? I did not read anywhere whether or not shipping is included.

Josephine B. asked 8 months, 5 days, 9 hours, and 10 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Thanks for the questions, Josephine! Yes, we can transfer images such as slides, negatives, and prints on to a DVD! Our pricing is $0.49 per image, so this Groupon will cover up to 122 photos! Shipping is not included in the quoted price, but you can definitely use part of your Groupon credit for the shipping costs. In regards to the $5 coupon, unfortunately I'm not familiar with how that works-- you would want to contact Groupon directly at (888) 375-5777; I'm sure they'll be happy to help! Can you also do the little disks we used in the computer and got from Costco with our photos on them? I cant remember the name but they are the hard disk not the floppy disk. Are these considered negatives? Do you have to have all photos transfered or can I pick the photos off the thumbnail photos I have? Niese email is myniese@yahoo.com

Niese L. asked 8 months, 6 days, 4 hours, and 6 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Hi Niese, thank you so much for your interest in our service. Unfortunately, we are not able to transfer the media you described. However, we have many accepted formats you may be interested in, including various types of video tapes, film reels, images (slides, negatives, prints), and digital media (USB sticks, memory card s). You can submit any of those to have transferred on to a DVD! To read more about our Groupon offer, you can also visit our website here!

Hi I have an album of old pictures but the problem is that its an old school album where the pictures are permanently stuck onto the album, if I send in the album would you still be able to scan the pictures onto a dvd despite not being able to move them and given that they are behind a clear plastic film? Also if you are able to scan them do you return the original pictures and albums to clients along with the DVD? My other question is, seeing as how these are pictures which I do not have copies of (thus my desire to have them scanned), what if any responsibility does your company take if they are lost, damaged or destroyed while in your possession? Thank you

Viviana H. asked 8 months, 5 days, 19 hours, and 55 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Excellent question, Viviana. Our equipment transfers photos to digital and DVD without removing any images from your album, or even removing the cellophane covers that protects them! You receive your albums back exactly as they were received - with your memories intact.

Jon D. ask Using the coupon, can you have all tapes concentrated on the the lest amount of dvd's and pay the difference? Example, three tapes (1hour, 2hour and 20mins).

Jonathan D. asked 8 months, 5 days, 22 hours, and 24 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Hi Jon, thanks for the question! Our pricing is $19.99 per video tape, up to two hours. We do not merge tapes together, so each tape submitted will be transferred on to its own DVD and have a base price of $19.99. We had an 8mm projector from the early 1960s. It looks like my dad consolidated the three-inch reels onto five-inch reels. I found three such reels. Could you convert these 5-inch reels to DVD? And could we use the Groupon special to do it?

Jerry R. asked 8 months, 6 days, 3 hours, and 58 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Great question, Jerry! Of course! Our pricing is $0.18 per foot. 5" reels generally hold about 200 feet. Three 5" reels would have a total of 600 feet. Transferring all three of your reels would cost approximately $108. Since your Groupon will cover up to $60, you'll have a remaining amount of $48, To learn more about our Groupon offer and read more of our frequently asked questions, you can also visit our website here.

Your ad states: $19 for $60 Worth of Digital Conversion of VHS Tapes, Photos, Film Reels, and More Services include conversion of videotapes into DVDs ($57.97 for three two-hour tapes) and conversion of 3-inch reels into DVD ($54.00 for six reels). The staff can also transfer photos, slides, and negatives onto a DVD ($59.78 for 122 photos). Does this mean that for $19 I can get 6- 3 inch movie reals put on to DVD's since it is ~ $60 worth of digital conversion or is this the price after the groupon deal has been subtracted?.

todd asked 8 months, 6 days, 19 hours, and 13 minutes ago - 1 answer

Cynthia P.

Thanks for the question, Todd. All of the examples listed are what the $60 worth of our service will get you, not the price after the Groupon. So, if we are referring to reels, your Groupon will cover six of your 3" reels. Since our film pricing is $0.18 per foot, your Groupon will actually cover up to 333 feet. For film transfers, our skilled technicians repair splices and clean dust and dirt, stabilize images and reduce flicker for better viewing quality, enhance the footage to improve color and lighting, and digitally remove blank footage and leader film! You also want to keep in mind that your film will be spliced and combined onto new 400 ft. reels. Your empty reels will be returned, along with the new 400 ft. reels containing your original footage.
