I would be purchasing this groupon as a gift, however I would be calling and paying for the reservation with my credit card. Do I just purchase this groupon as if it is for myself and then put my brother's name on hotel reservation when he and I can sit down and he can choose a date or do I have to buy it for him "as a gift" from the beginning and have his name on the actual groupon?

You would purchase and pay for the offer on the Groupon site. If you know he will be using it I would suggest buying it as a gift with his name included. Then, you would call the 1-800-CAESARS number to check availablity and book the reservation. You would need to put his name on the reservation as it would require his ID at check in. He will need the Groupon at check. Thanks!

Can you explain what the two different towers have to offer and the differences

On the right hand side of the link below you will find the room type descriptions. The Mountain Tower is our original hotel tower with Soco Tower opening a few years later. Both offer exceptional views and options of king or two queen beds. Mountain is completely non-smoking while Soco does have some smoking rooms available. The link will provide other specifc details. The resort credit can inserted in a machine for gaming or you may redeem it at cashier window for cash that may be used at any of restaurants, shopping or any resort amenity. Thanks!
