Off-Strip Resort with Restaurants, Pool, and Spa

The Superbook, the sports book at LVH – Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, is one of the world’s largest. Here, dozens of TVs play all manner of sports so gamblers can can bet on anything from baseball to martial arts to dog racing. The hotel complex also boasts a massive casino and an array of dining options—and it’s all within one monorail stop of The Strip.

The highlight of the LVH is probably its 74,000-square-foot casino, which has rows upon rows of slots and gaming tables—with this deal, you get a $10 credit to use here. But the sprawling resort also contains enough restaurants, bars, and shops to satisfy a small city. This Groupon also comes with $100 worth of dining coupons, including a $20 credit at the hotel's flagship eatery, Benihana, where you can dine on steak and lobster prepared by hibachi chefs. For a more casual meal, head to 888 Noodle Bar, which serves pan-Asian fare ranging from curry chicken to sea-bass stir-fry. You can also satisfy any late-night cravings at the Paradise Café, which serves hearty dishes such as buttermilk pancakes and french-dip sandwiches until 1 a.m.

Though it’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of activities at LVH, it’s just as easy to spend all day lounging by the resort’s palm-lined pool. Right next to the pool and tennis courts is the spa, which is furnished with soaking tubs and chaise lounges; entry is included with Groupon.

Las Vegas: The Strip Past and Present

Mentioning Las Vegas usually conjures up images of spinning roulette wheels and stone-faced poker players. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll want to make a beeline for the casinos lining the neon-lit Strip. But for lower-stakes gambling in a throwback Vegas atmosphere, head downtown to Fremont Street. Vintage signs and showgirls crowned with headdresses recall the days of Sinatra and Martin, but this Glitter Gulch burns much brighter today than it did in the Rat Pack era: beginning at dusk, a canopy of more than 12 million LED lights erupts in a psychedelic light and music show every hour.

Educational attractions have never been Sin City's strong suit, but the Mob Museum boasts a winning formula: bank robberies, prostitution, and money laundering. Exhibits profile legendary Mafiosi from Capone to Gotti, and mob artifacts include the bloodstained, bullet-pocked brick wall from the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. Within the former federal courthouse, you can fire a Tommy gun simulator, participate in a police lineup, or enter witness protection for the rest of your life.
