Cozy Boutique Hotel in Heart of Sonoma Wine Country

West Sonoma Inn & Spa is situated amid 6 acres of Russian River Valley countryside in the heart of Sonoma wine country. The boutique hotel pays homage to these lush natural surroundings in its design elements; to wit, the lobby's vaulted ceiling is made out of redwood. You can get tranquil views of the country from the inn's pebbled wine garden, where you can sip reds and whites next to burgundy-tinted oak barrels.

The enchanting courtyard suites feature a fireplace and either a fully equipped kitchenette or a living room with a wet bar. Some suites also include a private patio, from which you can survey rolling hills and herds of sommeliers in their natural habitat.

At the inn's onsite spa, five massage therapists—each boasting more than 15 years of experience—administer organic treatments ranging from cleansing sea-plant facials to the Russian River hot-stone massage. Costs range from $95 for a 50-minute Swedish massage to $270 for an 80-minute couples massage, and Groupon customers receive a 10 percent discount on services.

Sonoma County, California: Majestic Redwoods and Scenic Vineyards

The gentle climate and stunning landscape of Sonoma County make it a great place to be outside year-round. West Sonoma Inn & Spa is situated within walking distance of a maze of skyscraper-high redwood trees and the Russian River, which is a good spot for canoeing.
