What does it mean "$1,199 for $1,349 toward an eight-night China tour with round-trip airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco. Departure dates are between 4/1 and 10/18?" I plan to travel in July so this option applies to me, but I do not understand why it says "$1,199 for $1,349." Could you explain?

Cache T. asked 5 months, 3 days, 16 hours, and 6 minutes ago - 1 answer

Max C.

If you plan to travel beyond the special Groupon offer dates as specified in February and March 2013, say in your case when you plan to travel in July 2013, your purchase of the Groupon at $1199 is still worth a value of $1349 credit towards any of the future available same tour itinerary at www.AffordableAsia.com. For example, the peak-season July tours for this same itinerary will be at $1835, when you buy this Groupon for travels AFTER April 1, 2013, your pre-payment through Groupon purchase is worth a value of $1349, and you only need to pay a difference between $1835 and $1349, which is $486 for the July departure which is still a savings of $150.

What is this travel solo and why is there a fee?

Esthella T. asked 5 months, 3 days, 15 hours, and 55 minutes ago - 1 answer

This price is based on per person, double room occupancy basis. If you were to travel alone and made your purchase for only one person, you will occupy a single room throughout the trip and you will be charged a "solo fee" or single supplement fee.

Max C. answered 5 months, 3 days, 23 hours, and 5 minutes ago

How does purchasing for dates between 4/1 and 10/18 work? I pay $1,199 and get a credit for $1,349, so I get $150 in credit to apply to the tour? If, for example, the price of my tour is $1600, I would owe the difference between $1349 and $1600, so $251?

Jennifer V. asked 5 months, 3 days, 15 hours, and 36 minutes ago - 1 answer

Max C.

Yes. Your are right. There is ALWAYS a discount of $150 when you buy your Groupon now.

Max C. answered 5 months, 2 days, 22 hours, and 57 minutes ago

can you explain: $1,199 for $1,349 toward an eight-night China tour with round-trip airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco. Departure dates are between 4/1 and 10/18; see a full list of available dates here. for example, how much do I have to pay for tour on 08/11/13?

Zhijie C. asked 5 months, 3 days, 15 hours, and 8 minutes ago - 1 answer

Max C.

If you plan to travel beyond the special Groupon offer dates as specified in February and March 2013, say in your case when you plan to travel in August 2013, your purchase of the Groupon at $1199 is still worth a value of $1349 credit towards any of the future available same tour itinerary at www.AffordableAsia.com. For example, the August tours for this same itinerary will be at $1635, when you buy this Groupon for travels AFTER April 1, 2013, your pre-payment through Groupon purchase is worth a value of $1349, and you only need to pay a difference between $1635 and $1349, which is $286 for the August departure which is still a savings of $150. Thank you for this highlight. The typo is on the Groupon mention. It should be 3 nights' stay in Doubletree Hilton Beijing not two nights. We will ask Groupon to correct this asap. In any case the itinerary is the default terms of reference.

Is there any difference in price, if I book directly with the tour operator (Affordable Asia)? If I book via Groupon, do I still have to pay the Fuel Surcharge and Taxes mentioned on the operator's website? Is$1199 my TOTAL cost (Double Occupancy from SFO)? Thx.

Asghar M. asked 5 months, 3 days, and 4 minutes ago - 1 answer

Max C.

Your purchase on Groupon WILL ALWAYS save you $150 from our offerings on our web site because your payment is always worth $1349 credit. All our prices clearly spell out the corresponding airlines' taxes, fees and fuel surcharges in full compliance with US Department of Transportation's rules and regulations. The advertised price on Groupon indicates the full total price inclusive of these charges, taxes and fees. There is nothing else to pay other than your optional local tours you may select during your redemption, your visa application fee (if you so wish to be handled by us), your personal expenses during the trip and your discretionary gratuities for the excellent guides who service you in China.

Nydia asked 5 months, 2 days, 22 hours, and 53 minutes ago - 1 answer

April 26 departure is valued at $1535. Your Groupon is valued at $1349. You have to pay an extra of $186 upon redemption of your Groupoon certificate... still a savings of $150 from normal retail at our web site.

Max C. answered 5 months, 2 days, 22 hours, and 4 minutes ago

Please see the details of the available dates and prices after April 1, 2013 at this link: http://www.affordableasia.com/vacation-packages/china-discovery-10-days-8-nights/itinerary Remember, your pre-purchase is worth a $1349 credit value towards the total price listed.

Max C. answered 5 months, 2 days, 21 hours, and 52 minutes ago

I thought the price quoted ($1349) was for two people in one room? that's what i read... but a link took me to affordable asia and now it's telling me its $3470 with all taxes.. and i didn't add extensions or anything. I want to travel 09/06/13.. please explain.. thanks!

Bethany Z. asked 4 months, 25 days, 21 hours, and 22 minutes ago - 1 answer

Max C.

You have purchased a credit value of $1349 for future travel dates beyond 4/1/2013 for a price of $1199 - and that's a savings of $150 per person. The $1349 valued price in exchange for your $1199 expenditure is for specific departures in February specially catered for Groupon customers that may be still available. These are all clearly listed. Tours beyond 4/1/2013 are priced differently based on seasonality of airfares and cannot forever be at $1349 value. If you wish to travel at $1349 value by paying $1199, please do not redeem and instead refund from Groupon and buy what is available for departures in February where available.

Mariannie R. asked 4 months, 22 days, and 59 minutes ago - 1 answer

You wii need to purchase 5voucher from groupon for option 24 and when you come to book with us, you need to book 4adult and one child with us in same booking using two rooms. For the 5 yrs old if he does not need an extra bed, then his rate will be 20pc off on adult tour fare but no discount on fuel surcharge and taxes, for the one year old,our system is not equipped to accept infant booking, so we have to do it manually and the price for infant is 25pc of adult tour fare and no fuel surcharge or taxes and we can use the credit from the child to apply to the infant charge and you pay the balance
