At Aliante Station Casino Hotel, it's possible to court Lady Luck at the 24-hour casino, watch a giant-sized IMAX movie, mingle at a Latin dance party, and catch a live concert, all in one place. The multimillion-dollar casino hotel would fit right in on the Las Vegas Strip, but instead it stands apart in a quiet, North Las Vegas neighborhood, but still just 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The setting is marked by recreational parks and picturesque trails, providing a dose of peace and quiet in a region where peace and quiet are in short supply. And the resort is still within easy driving distance of weekend stock-car races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and a cornucopia of Sin City casinos and nightclubs.

The hotel's exterior is sleek and modern, with reflective glass panes sparkling in the Nevada sunshine. A similarly stylish vibe imbues the pool area, where you can lie in the shade of a posh orange cabana. Up in the guest rooms, the design scheme incorporates mocha accents and floor-to-ceiling windows. A flat-screen plasma TV supplies in-room entertainment.

In the hotel's casino, you can take your chances at thousands of slot machines and ante up in a high-limit poker game. The bingo room has space for up to 200 players, all of whom are required to spell their dogs' names using a mixture of letters and handclaps. And the onsite Race + Sports Book boasts three large screens and 170 seats.

North Las Vegas: Family-Friendly Adventures Away from the Strip

Roughly a half-hour drive from Sin City, North Las Vegas rests in the Mojave Desert, bordered on the north by the Las Vegas Mountain Range. Throughout the city's residential communities, you'll find many trails and recreational parks, including the 20-acre Aliante Nature Discovery Park. Across the street from the hotel waits the Aliante Golf Club and about an hour away is the Valley of Fire. State Park.
