All-Inclusive Beach Resort with a Slew of Perks

Thanks to its west-coast location, Puerto Vallarta has especially dazzling sunsets, with every conceivable shade of red, yellow, and orange filling the sky as the sun dips below Banderas Bay. In addition to offering a prime spot for viewing the nightly display from Flamingos Beach, Bel Air Collection Resort & Spa Vallarta supplies a surfeit of memorable perks—including a sunset tea service and decadent petit fours—to complement the area's striking natural attributes.

Along with doling out complimentary snacks, the all-inclusive resort serves gourmet Mexican, sushi, and international fare at three onsite restaurants. In between feedings, guests can while away the hours on a chaise longue overlooking a half-moon-shaped infinity pool that overlooks, in turn, the ocean. The resort's lavish spa indulges guests with coffee skin treatments and midnight massages on a beach dotted with tiki torches. Staff members pour colorful cocktails and glasses of wine at a sports bar and an ocean-view jacuzzi bar. At the end of the day, guests retire to standard rooms outfitted with a king-size bed and a hydro-massage bathtub to relieve tension accrued from dealing with unreliable sandcastle contractors.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: Tropical Paradise with Cosmopolitan Flair

Puerto Vallarta is perhaps Mexico’s most sophisticated vacation destination. Known simply as Vallarta, the city sizzles with cosmopolitan flair on expansive beaches and cobblestone streets lined with trendy restaurants. A 10-block boardwalk known as the malecón offers unobstructed ocean views as it extends from the city center, leading past fountains and landmarks such as the famous 9-foot-high statue of a boy riding a sea horse. Considered the most LGBT-friendly city in Mexico, Vallarta draws a diverse crowd of vacationers intent on relaxing during the day and living it up at night as they bounce between the city’s numerous dance clubs and bouncy castles.

Do not stay here. This is a shitastic hotel. Pictures are not even close to what you get. Imagine a 10ft by 10ft room with a king bed. Now picture a smaller room with same bed. That's what you'll get. Next door is like a billion times better. Also it's under construction so it's noisy as f in the morning. They failed to disclose this in the advertisement.

DO NOT BOOK THIS!! They are currently doing construction and construction starts at 6 in the morning and it is loud. Lousy to have to wake up at 6 AM while on vacation. Also, the rooms smell like mold. I went earlier this month in April. It was not very humid nor was it raining and the rooms still smelled like mold. Unfortunately after staying 1 night we had to find accommodations else where.

It's a timeshare community, which should be posted online. It's 30 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta and across a state border, a $30 cab ride each way. The food/beverages left a lot to be desired due to a very limited selection. The pool was large with a gorgeous view but cloudy and dirty. Most of the staff was friendly but the front desk staff is not very helpful. If you are buying the Groupon, be sure to print it out because they do not accept the mobile voucher, I went around and around for 20 minutes arguing with the guy at the front desk him repeatedly telling me I need to print it out, when I'm in a foreign country with no computer or printer.
