Peaceful Jamaican Resort on Secluded White-Sand Beach

Located steps away from Jamaica’s famous Seven Mile Beach, Coco La Palm resort takes full advantage of its tropical surroundings with an architectural style customized to soak in the area’s beauty. Octagonal, two-story buildings are spread across the property, offering multiple vantage points from the guest rooms’ windows and private patios. With Jamaica’s mountainous interior in the background, Coco La Palm encourages guests to explore the area’s white-sand beaches and relax under swaying palm trees.

The resort includes nearly 300 feet of beachfront property. Take a dip in the Caribbean’s warm waters or borrow lounge chairs and beach towels to sunbathe along the coastline. Not far from the seaside, the resort has two private swimming pools located among native flora—one is exclusively reserved for adults and has one of resort’s best spots for watching the sunset, whereas the other pool is available to families. After a day of beachcombing, dine at the Seaside Restaurant, an onsite eatery serving coconut-crusted shrimp, local lobsters, jerk chicken, and other island-inspired cuisine on an open-air patio. A second restaurant, the Beach Bar and Grill, serves sandwiches and cold drinks for lunch.

During the week, Coco La Palm hosts numerous festivities, from Monday-night cocktail parties with hors d’oeuvres and rum punch to Friday night’s beach bash with live music and fire dancing. Located on Jamaica’s western coast, Negril is known for its white-sand beaches, dramatic, rugged cliffs, and coral reefs lying just offshore in the Caribbean. Farther inland, the mountainous terrain harbors several eco-tourism attractions including hiking, ziplining, and waterfall tours. Take a 60- to 90-minute drive east to reach the cascading YS Falls or Mayfield Falls, where you can wade in 21 natural pools shaded by exotic tropical flowers and ferns. Or stay close to Negril by visiting the Royal Palm Reserve, where 300 acres of swamp forests and wetlands shelter more than 300 types of birds, butterflies, and abandoned Rubik's cubes.
