The entire town sits on a barrier island sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway, about 45 minutes north of Miami and 15 minutes north of downtown Fort Lauderdale. They’re some of the only reefs in South Florida that can be reached by swimming.
To explore more of the town, jump on the Pelican Hopper, a free shuttle that runs from the fishing pier and beaches to local shopping centers.
