Day 1: Liberia Canton, Costa Rica

Fly into Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) and take a complimentary shuttle to the first hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Liberia Airport. The rest of the day is set aside for relaxation.

    Day 2: Hacienda Guachipelin

Next, the group heads to Hacienda Guachipelin in Guanacaste, where a full day of adventure awaits. This day includes a taste of the outdoor pursuits Costa Rica has to offer—you'll go on a canyon canopy tour, a waterfalls canyon tour, a tubing excursion, and have a dip in thermal waters and hot springs. You'll also go on a horseback ride before spending the night at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin.

    Day 3: Monteverde Cloud Forest

Next up is a day trip to the Montverde Cloud Forest Reserve, a jaw-dropping expanse of lush forests and biodiversity. You'll take a sky walk tour and a sky tram, allowing you to see the cloud forest from a bird's-eye view. From this vantage point, you'll take in undisturbed nature scenes—keep an eye out for jaguars, ocelots, tapirs, and the famously elusive quetzals. The evening is yours; relax and stretch out at the Hotel El Establo.

Day 4: Palo Verde National Park

In the morning, you'll head to Palo Verde National Park, one of Costa Rica's best wildlife-watching spots. Here, a river tour will give you a first-hand view of monkeys, crocodiles, and hundreds of species of birds. Afterwards, you'll visit the small pottery village of Guaitil, where you'll learn about Costa Rican traditions. The day's adventures end in Nicoya for a stop at one of Costa Rica's oldest churches, built in 1644. Retire to Hotel Villas Playa Samara, an elaborate beachfront resort that will be your home for the next three days.

    Days 5-8: Samara

Hotel Villas Playa Samara's whitewashed cottages hug a horseshoe-shaped bay renowned for calm waters ideal for swimming and snorkeling. About a mile offshore lies a deserted island called Isla Chora, which you can explore on an included kayak tour. Expect to find crystal-clear waters and a pink beach full of hermit crabs and iguanas. Relax and splash in the waves during this sunny and peaceful wrap-up to your trip. After your stay here, you'll be shuttled back to the airport for your flight back home.

This was the MOST amazing trip. I was a little skeptical at first because it seemed way too easy and seemed like too good of a deal but it was basically perfect. Our guide Kattia was THE BEST! She was knowledgeable, funny and kind and our driver, Eric, made us feel so safe and secure and went above and beyond ❤ We were lucky enough to have a small group and everyone was fantastic.

I bought 2 of these Groupons for my family of 5 to use. One thing of note, adding an additional child to a room is not $599, it was more like $799 so if that matters, confirm with the company before purchasing. I was able to contact the company before purchasing to ensure that we would be able to use the Groupon on the dates we needed. Daniel was VERY helpful. The trip was AMAZING. I purchased it thinking, well, it's with my kids. They won't know if we are staying in nice places or not. It exceeded my expectations in so many ways. The first day is absolutely PERFECT. My one piece of advice is to dress with leggings/jeans on and a bathing suit under your clothes for that first day. It says you will get to change, but they cannot promise that. We packed a bag thinking we would change between activities and the guide was a little miffed at us for "not being ready." Take something dry to change into if you want, but wear the suit to start off with (and leggings/pants for horseback- you will enjoy it more if you do that). Almost all the accommodations were lovely. The Hacienda after the first day was very......rustic.....and definitely the least luxurious of all places, but it is a working farm and it was fine. The grounds were amazing to wander and the hot springs were so cool!!!! The other places (in monteverde and samara) were gorgeous. So much is included- breakfast every day was good. Many lunches. You could not book all of this on your own and pull it off for this price. Jesus, our photographer, was absolutely a bright spot of the trip. I cannot recommend this trip enough. I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the accomodations and the amount that was included.
