Spacious Suites Overlooking Rivers, Mountains, and Forests

The Coast Mountains surround the Executive Suites Hotel & Resort, Squamish, forming a dramatic backdrop of snowcapped peaks. The visually dazzling landscape has been used in a number of movies and TV shows, including Rambo, MacGyver, and Men in Trees. You can enjoy the majestic views on a hike through nearby Crumpit Woods or while kicking back in the resort's indoor-outdoor pool. After slipping into the heated indoor side, you can paddle outside to watch the steam rise into the mountain air.

Each one-bedroom suite boasts a private balcony overlooking the craggy horizon. Dark-wood furnishings and forest-green linens echo the colors of the woods outside. Cooking your own meals easy in a kitchen equipped with cookware, a fridge, and a dishwasher. Or you can head down to The Living Room Restaurant & Lounge for fresh seafood such as a British Columbia wild sockeye salmon fillet and tequila and lime ceviche. Additionally, breakfast is served daily till 2 p.m.

Squamish, British Columbia: Alpine Adventures in "Sea to Sky Country"

The region between Vancouver and Whistler is often called "Sea to Sky Country" because of the juxtaposition of ocean tributaries and mountain peaks. The Sea to Sky Highway traces the coastline from Horseshoe Bay, just west of Vancouver, up to the municipality of Squamish. Along the way, you pass waterfalls, lakes, and the Stawamus Chief, one of the largest granite monoliths in the world.

Warm summer temperatures are a boon for anglers, who can find salmon and dolly varden char in the four rivers around the resort—Mamquam, Cheakamus, Squamish, and Elaho. If you'd rather be on the water, head to the Squamish Spit at the top of the Squamish River, where wind gusts create conditions ideal for windsurfing. Back on dry land, there are miles of mountain-bike trails in close range of the hotel.
