If you wish to extend your stay, we will gladly arrange a late return. The cost is $100 per person plus any difference in airfare. When you make your reservation let us know the date you wish to come back, and our air department will check the availability and let you know what the additional cost will be. Please note that our tour ends on Day 8 after dinner so your extended stay will begin at that point. Be sure to let us know if we can help with additional hotel or touring arrangements during your extended stay.

We use the same hotel for all group members on each departure. If you were to arrange your own hotel stay and transportation to meet with the group each day, there would be no refund for unused services.

The Indian Consulate recommends a company called Travisa Outsourcing. The visa cost is $76 per person; the average processing time is 7-9 business days from when they receive your application.

Is a tour of the Red Fort in Delhi included in the itinerary, If not, will there be sufficient time during the Delhi part of the itinerary to explore the Red Fort on our own? Also, how much free time in general will we have in Delhi to explore on our own? Thanks!

Our itinerary does not include a tour of the Red Fort. You will arrive to Delhi around 3:10pm, then you are met and transferred to your hotel with the rest of the day at leisure. On Day 3, the included touring ends around mid-afternoon and you return to the hotel. You will not have free time in Delhi on Day 8.

I am interested in the trip but I'm worried about eating lunch and dinner. I understand only breakfasts are included and dinner on the last night.

Although the cost for lunch is not included in the pricing, you are generally with the group for lunch. The hotels you will be staying at will have restaurants that you can go to for dinner, or you can ask your guide for a recommendation of a local restaurant.

The airline taxes, fuel surcharges and fees are already included in the cost of the tour. There is an India departure tax of $28; a User Development Fee of $15; and the Visa cost is $76. The recommended amount for tipping is as follows: $4-6 per person, per day for your local guide; $3 per person, per day for your driver; $6-8 per person, per day for your Tour Escort. The total approximate amount would be $238 per person. Please keep in mind that the departure tax and User Development Fee are subject to Delhi Airport and are subject to change at any time.

We do offer an April 23 departure, returning on May 1. However, it is not offered with this Groupon special, it would need to be purchased directly through Friendly Planet. That departure date is $1799 per person, based on Double Occupancy.

We use Air India. Earning mileage is always subject to the airline you are flying on, and we are not able to guarantee that you would accrue them. However, as long as your flight is booked in a class of service that is eligible for mileage accrual (based on the flying airline's policy) we can apply your frequent flyer numbers to your reservation and you may receive your miles. It's always best that you check directly with the airline's website for their rules and restrictions.

We do not offer an hourly itinerary as exact time vary depending on each individual group. However, this itinerary is very full and free time usually only takes place in the late afternoon and evening.
