However, we do occasionally have to wait to provide the business with their complete list of purchasers, which can mean you won't be able to redeem right away. Does the term "book" mean you need to use the nights of stay before 1/4/13?

This Groupon expires on the book-by date, meaning that you need to book your reservation by 1/4/13. However, as long as you've made your reservation, your Groupon is still valid if used before the travel-by date, which is 1/10/13.
