well the reservation process was easy enough, but upon arrival is where it all went haywire. When we arrived the Front desk person greeted us and then gave us the whole check in speel of where everything was and all that jazz. He told us where to go to use our food credit but didnt tell us that the kitchen was unavailable due to a fire or that there were xmas parties booked in the restaurant and the bar. when we got to our room it was freezing, yes i know they always are but this one had us keep our coats on for 20-30 minutes (we watched a show on food that was 30 min long). we called down to room service to order our dinner and we were told that there was a modified menu (that wasn't in our guest book) because of the fire and that they would bring a menu right up. After an hour we went down to the bar to see if we could see the menu and order dinner after they showed us the menu (11 or so items of which the closet HOT item was a turkey sandwich) we tried to order but they were "all out" of several things so we settled on going out of the hotel to Burger King. When we got back we asked them to trade out our coffee selection for hot cocoa (it was still chilly in our room) which took another 40 minutes. we then called the front desk to see about breakfast (to try and use our credit again) and we were told about the breakfast buffet which had all the standard continental breakfast items as well as an omelete station and pancakes and waffles. We watched some more tv and then called room service for dessert but we were informed that even though teir guest book had a late night menu and had hours on it that room service closed at 10:00 (hours in the book were 10:00 pm-6:00 am). Well we decided not to deal with room service or the front desk til morning and went to bed. The bed was quite comfortable and we slept great. The Next Morning when we tried to go and get breakfast we were informed by the breakfast staff that the information that we were given by the desk was completely incorrect and that they did not have the breakfast buffet available anymore, reason given was the fire again and then we were given breakfast menus from the waiter and legt to figure out what we wanted from there sit down menu. After about 15 minutes of thought we flagged down our waiter and went to place our order only to be told that Our 1st, second and third choices were not available for breakfast because the kitchen could only do omeletes and small breakfast items. So you guessed it we were stuck with 5 choices not a menu like we were handed. The prices that were on the menu were also not the prices that were charged juice was on the menu for $3 and billed at $5 a three egg omelete on the menu for $12 was charged $15 and so on. As for my experience the only thing that was GOOD about this BIRTHDAY getaway was that i got to spend time with my beautiful wife!!!!!!!!
