Casino Hotel with Luxurious Amenities along Lake Tahoe

Indoors, the pace is frenetic—blackjack and roulette tables, poker rooms, a 24-hour keno lounge, and more than 900 slot machines hum with activity. Just next door, the South Shore Showroom puts on shows on the same stage where Frank Sinatra and Bill Cosby once performed. But beyond the casino hotel's white marble lobby, sweeping mountain views supply a tranquil contrast, with nearby ski resorts providing an easy excuse to get a little fresh air. It's this unusual blend of bustling nightlife, unlimited gaming, and alpine recreation that distinguishes Harrah's Lake Tahoe from other casino resorts.

After carousing at trendy nightclubs and colorful card tables, luxury rooms grant extra privacy along with his and hers bathrooms, which hotel founder Bill Harrah insisted upon installing after traveling the world with his wife. Another Bill Harrah–inspired detail in the cream-colored room is a do-not-disturb system that can be activated from within in the room, deactivating the outside doorbell to keep out early-morning maids.
