Western Wonder Experience
Note: Tour groups will meet at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown at 6 a.m. on Day 1 and travel by coach to catch their private flight to Monterey.
Days 1–4: Monterey, Carmel, San Francisco, and Yosemite, CA
Your trip begins with a scenic drive down 17-Mile Drive, a winding road with excellent views of the coast’s rocky seashores and steep canyons. Then it’s onto a three-hour whale-watching cruise—keep an eye out for grey and humpback whales—before heading to Carmel-by-the-Sea for an afternoon of shopping along stone-paved alleyways.
In San Francisco, you’ll take a two-hour guided sightseeing tour past Lombard Street—known for its hairpin turns—and the city’s other iconic attractions. The tours ends at Fisherman’s Wharf, where you can have lunch at leisure. On Day 3, the tour visits Golden Gate Bridge en route to the giant redwoods at Muir Woods National Monument and a tour at Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery in Sonoma Valley. While in San Francisco, you can also take in a Bridge to Bridge Boat tour. The final California segment of the trip is Yosemite National Park, where you’ll take a guided trek among the park’s granite canyons and imposing Sequoia trees.
Day 5–6: Cedar City and Bryce Canyon, UT
Famous for its towering red-rock cliffs and hanging gardens, Cedar City has one of the earth’s most distinctive landscapes, as you’ll discover on a sightseeing tour around the city. Red-rock cliffs stretch to the horizon at Bryce Canyon National Park. The park also features hoodoos: oddly shaped rock formations created by centuries of erosion.
Days 6–7: Grand Canyon and Las Vegas
Grand Canyon National Park is a breathtaking sight at nearly 300 miles long, 20 miles wide, and more than a mile deep. You’ll spend a couple of hours here, snapping photos and enjoying the view, before heading out to the glitz and glam of Las Vegas for a full day at leisure. The tour then concludes at the Sheraton Los Angeles Downtown.
