Inland Empire Hotel near California's Ontario International Airport

In 1923, the LA/Ontario International Airport had nothing more than a small patch of dirt where tiny glider airplanes would occasionally land. During World War II, though, the airport expanded to include paved runways, an air-traffic control tower, and a state-of-the-art instrument landing system. Today, ONT sends flights all over the world—a total of 4.5 million passengers passed through the airport in 2011. The Radisson Hotel Ontario Airport is conveniently located less than one mile from ONT; a free shuttle whisks guests back and forth between the hotel and the terminals.
