Intimate B & B Overlooking Verdant Countryside
Sun Set Acres B&B rests on 12 peaceful acres in the Missouri countryside. Just a few feet from the house lies a large pond where canadian geese and blue herons paddle through the water and anglers cast lines for fish. It’s an idyllic setting for the cozy bed and breakfast—an intimate retreat run by innkeepers Brenda and Bill, who live here with their shih tzu and japanese bobtail cat. The property has just three guest rooms, leaving Brenda and Bill free to devote their energies to making each guest’s stay memorable. In addition to crafting gourmet meals each morning, the owners will gladly offer recommendations for wineries in the area.
Each of the rooms is decorated according to a different theme. The Egyptian room stands out with a carved sleigh bed, high vaulted ceilings, and a sphinx who delivers riddling wakeup calls. The room also has a private deck that overlooks the pool and hot tub. In the morning, head to the shared patio to enjoy an alfresco breakfast while taking in views of the pond. This is also a good spot for playing cards or board games in the evening.
