Cook Academy My husband and I have been to the Essex many times and taken many cooking classes. Our chef this time was someone new to us, Chef Donna. We enjoyed making the Italian meal and the food was delicious. Just a couple of things we did not enjoy. In the past, whatever group you were with within the class stayed together and cooked together and made the entire meal. This time, Chef Donna gave each group a portion of the meal to make, which means we didn't participate in half the tasks and didn't learn how to do some of the steps. At the end, she combined everything together, so we were eating food others had prepared. We would have much preferred to cook the entire meal ourselves and to eat the food we prepared on our own. Chef Donna was efficient and clear in her teaching, but was a bit abrupt at times when telling us what to do. We love the cooking classes at the Essex and will definitely be back again.

Weekend at the Essex Dinner at the Junction and Kimberly is always the best!

Great hotel and spa but website isn’t working for booking accommodations So disappointed with the booking process. The website system was not very friendly and somehow despite my best efforts my booking was through a fraudster third party partner of Priceline. Please fix your website or tell people to book only by telephone. The extra $180 fees I paid to the third party spoiled my travel

Fabulous! We were at Essex Resort and Spa for our pre wedding planner meeting with Nicole to go through the timeline and ceremony. We have always enjoyed the friendliness and interest with our stays here. This stay was the best, because all our guest needs were exceeded with staff help. We had the restaurant Junction recommended for its culinary menu. It totally wowed us, and our server Kimberly made it so fun! She explained the choices well, and timed the entree presentation so we had time to relax with our spps and wine. Kimberly is obviously very well versed and has a great attitude for her table service. The Junction is Four Star quality, and our key lime dessert was absolutely perfect! The ambiance of Junction is worth the visit! Kimberly just made our dining s happy time
