Couples-Friendly Lodge on Lake of the Ozarks

In the main lodge lobby, there’s exclusive artwork from emerging artists—a hint of the lodge's commitment to artisan craftsmanship throughout the property. Guest rooms are adorned with country-style decor and blond-wood furnishings produced in Guadalajara, Mexico. The earthy taupe color palette complements the area's natural beauty, and floor-to-ceiling windows unveil views of the surrounding terrain.

Of the resort's three onsite dining options, HK's Restaurant, an upscale steak-and-seafood eatery, sits near the Japanese gardens, and Breezes serves a daily breakfast buffet (included with this Groupon). The resort's onsite spa, Spa Shiki, offers massages, facials, body treatments, and salon services, and has a fitness center, steam, sauna, and whirlpool.

Open though the winter, the Cove—a par-71 course designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Sr.—features undulating fairways, 65 bunkers, manicured greens, and pedicured caddies. On The Ridge course, meanwhile, golfers hit drives down zoysia-grass fairways lined with local wildflowers. Overnight guests also receive access to Porto Cima, an exclusive course designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Hole three at The Cove golf course juts into the glittering Lake of the Ozarks, just past a lush stand of trees along the fairway. The Cove is the onsite championship golf course on the 3,500-acre campus of The Lodge of Four Seasons, and it represents one of the many ways this sprawling, couples-friendly resort takes advantage of its massive property—there’s also a massive spa and salon, a year-round pool, and a 250-person movie theater.

About 300 natural caves surround the lake; the Ozark Caverns are worth touring. About 20 miles away, Bridal Cave and Thunder Mountain Park offer one-hour tours that show off towering columns and stalagmites and stalactites.
