4-Star Rainbow-Hued Hotel with Upscale Restaurants Onsite

Bright splashes of lime green, coral, and fuchsia cover nearly every surface at The Saguaro Palm Springs. The hotel's grounds and interiors showcase the entire spectrum of color, from orange-sherbet pool umbrellas to pistachio furniture and rainbow-striped bedspreads. The hotel's architects say they drew inspiration from the vibrant hues of 12 native desert wildflowers. Renovated this past February, the hotel exudes a modern, funky vibe that's garnered the attention of the Los Angeles Times Magazine, the New York Times, and Condé Nast Traveler.

Chef Jose Garces, a winner of the prestigious James Beard Award and Food Network's Iron Chef competition, lent his culinary know-how and gold-plated whisks to the Saguaro's two onsite restaurants. Tinto specializes in Spanish fare from the Basque region, with a variety of tapas—known as pintxos—including duck confit canapé with serrano ham and black cherries. El Jefe, a poolside bar and restaurant, celebrates the cuisine of Mexico City with a premium tequila bar and small plates, including Garces's signature tacos stuffed with short ribs, goat, or crispy fish.

Pool-view rooms overlook the courtyard, where cabanas and fire pits surround the pool. You can keep up your exercise regimen with daily yoga classes or hop on a treadmill at the expansive fitness center.
