Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable, custom aligners. The process begins at the dentist’s office, where, during an initial exam, the doctor snaps x-rays and takes impressions of the upper and lower teeth. In the Invisalign lab, technicians craft a set of up to 48 transparent aligners made to the patient’s exact specifications. Patients wear the removable aligners for 6–18 months, changing the aligners every two weeks and only removing them while eating, brushing, or modeling a finely clenched jaw. Galvan Dental Care

For Felipe H. Galvan Jr., DDS, dentistry is a family tradition. As a third-generation dentist surrounded by family members who work in the field of dentistry, Dr. Galvan—or "Dr. Philip," as his patients and staff call him—has grown up with a devotion to helping others. He graduated from Centro Escolar University in Manila, Philippines, and became board certified in the U.S. in 2000.
