terms state that a purchase of at least $50 has to be made. It cannot be used for multiple visits.
I’m having a problem buying the groupon. It says “invalid quantity” but I don’t see the problem. Anyone else having this issue?
It says not valid with other offers/discounts, does that mean we can use it only to purchase full-priced items?

Groupon site is acting weird. Clicked on the Gap deal and it says it doesn’t exist. Tried to login in and I kept getting 404 error.

I have to agree that while this is a good deal, I am also put off by the fact that it is the groupon for every location today. I would really much rather have seen it staggered at least in a regional fashion so that we could still get other deals. This is not something I would want to see in the future with other large corporations. It’s like if I bought magazine and the ad on every page was only for GAP.
Hey- It says that it is valid at babyGap, KidsGap, and GapBody and not valid online or at Gap Outlet, Gap Factory Store or The Gap Generation stores. This may be a silly question, but what about the regular store? Can I walk into the main store with the groupon, or does it have to be one of those first 3?

The comments always crack me up…if you don’t want to buy a GAP groupon because it’s a “large corporation” or was out in the 90’s, then don’t! ha ha ha! Why it matters if it’s offered in every city (which idk if it was) I’m not sure!!—it’s offered in this one! :) and tomorrow there’ll be a new groupon offered, so hopefully one day of a deal you don’t like, doesn’t set you back! lol
If GAP is in trouble and you’re worried about this being valid if they go bankrupt—GROUPON will refund your money. (don’t remember where I read that, but it’s somewhere—might have been a nother discussion) Maybe the Groupon rep will have caught the above inference and address it specifically?

What “password” is needed with my credit card? As far as I know, my credit card doesn’t have a password. I tried to buy the deal but it said my CC was declined, which is odd.

i assume groupon is unable to post exactly how many are being sold right now because it can’t keep up with its demand? But I actually want to find out how many are sold in about 13 hours cause I feel like if I were to buy this, and use it next week or the week after, that I won’t be shopping but instead making it like a scavenger hunt for good clothes. Unless of course the gap just received a major massive shipment from China and India or something. I would have thought the GAP would push a more athletic image. The model is a beautiful young woman, but the skin and bones look for GAP clothing? Who is that marketing to? Who looks like that except 2% of the population? It’s like the 60’s when blacks were given white dolls and white images to look to as role models by advertisers because only white was beautiful, white was superior. It’s sick.

It looks like it is working now! I was able to use my $10 in credit and the whole page looks different. It doesnt ask for a password and is showing secure for payment. Try it again everyone.
For those of you having trouble getting your purchase processed:
You might try going to the deal in a smaller market. Because there is less traffic on that site, it is likely that you will be able to complete your purchase.
Because the offer is valid nationwide (and in Canada), the purchase location is not relevant.

It’s funny that people feel they have to complain. If you don’t like the Gap, don’t get the Groupon. I don’t eat meat and I’m not complaining that today’s side deal is for Sausage Kingdom.

n00b here. So basically I pay Groupon $25, I print out something, I go to a Gap store and buy $50 or more worth of stuff, give them the coupon, and they deduct $50 from my order? Is that the gist? So if my pre-tax purchase came out to exactly $50 and I give them this coupon, all I’d pay is the L.A. sales tax of $4.87 or so – am I correct?

I was able to buy and my credit was use of $2 plus my cc showed up for payment on the balance – it took several attempts as this is a GREAT deal and thousands are buying .. keep trying you’ll get in!! Luckily I work at my desktop so was easy for me to keep on trying!! Thanks groupon!!

I see that my card has been charged but I don’t see the deal under My Stuff. Does that mean that my order didn’t go through?

I don’t shop at the gap and won’t be purchasing this groupon BUT i did want to say something regarding the comments. GAP is not in trouble and won’t be going out of business. They have actually been working on revamping their look for months, at least in the background. I don’t know when they’ll actually bring their ideas into the actual store. My opinion is that they are getting ready to launch the “new” gap and this is a way to get people to go in there and check it out

MP – If you don’t like the groupon, don’t buy it. But as you see – a lot of others do. That’s the beauty of Groupon. Buy what you want – leave what you don’t!
You have until November to use it, so you could get a jumpstart on holiday shopping with it.
I use groupon to explore my city and try new things that I otherwise would have never considered. It also gives a boost to my local community (because the tax I spend at their store goes straight into our coffers where as it does not with the gap). Not to mention… if you are a gap credit card holder… you get this deal a few times a year… kind of bummed for the first time with groupon.

How do I receive the coupon and why does it state that it expires today, the day I bought it?
I’d be careful about the Gap coupon. The didn’t even get the names of the businesses right. There is no Kids Gap, it’s called GapKids.
And being a manager at one of the stores, i’ve never even heard of this offer and we are always alerted to any offers sponsored by the company.
WOW people REALLY do like to complain. Does anyone read? Look at the first paragraph. It states that sale items are included. Of course it needs to be one purchase. Are you kidding me?
Look at the financials of this company in the last year. They have increased their comp sales pretty much EVERY month.
My hat is off to Groupon for bring able to secure such a deal. And…for putting up with all of these bulls**t questions. No wonder LA has the reputation in does. And YES, I am a NATIVE angelino. It’s f**king embarrassing. If you want this deal, buy it, if not, you can live till tomorrow, when the next one comes along.

I am having problems buying one for a friend as a box appears saying I must purchase one but the number 1 is in gray and won’t let me type in the number of groupons I want. At first this morning it said due to overwhelming interest they would have to email me back when it could take more buys, but they never did. Now that I went back myself I was able to send an alert to a friend (for the $10.00 credit) but it won’t let me buy one as a gift or buy another for myself. It is now 12:30 p.m.

I’m having issues with completing the purchase. It says “1” in the quantity box, however when I click “pucrchase”, it gives me an error message saying the amount is invalid. how do I ger around this?
When this was having issues during regular buying, I ordered it on a different screen then my ordering screen and typed in all of my credit card info and it said successful and gave me a groupon id #. Then I just got the email that it is ok to order and did with my AX on file with a success. Is my other one invalid? HELP!

I got confirmation that my order has been processed and even got an order ID, but the purchase is not showing up in the “my groupons” section of my acct. I know I have to wait to get the email but I’m still concerned that something happened and I’ll miss out. Will I be ok with just my order ID# or should I be seeing it in my acct history? You will not receive anything in the mail. Once your order has successfully been processed, you will receive email confirmation. Then, you can print your voucher.
If it states that your order is being processed, you are all set! Now, it’s just a matter of letting the Groupon site catch up!

I purchased this Groupon couple hours ago, and still haven’t received the confirmation e-mail. It says it’s currently being processed. I understand the system is busy, but how long is considered reasonable?

Those having trouble buying – try another city, a smaller city with less activity.
It is not out of the norm for it to take awhile to “process” and since is the groupon for every city today (I’ve never seen this before), it will probably take longer than normal. If it’s processing, you will be fine. Just be patient and check tomorrow.

@Nikki A. and @nate – The minimum was met at 11:00 am with 500 bought. It says so on the “Deal Is On” box on the left hand side.
@Jeffrey B. – You have until the end of the day to buy the Groupon, but you have THREE MONTHS to use it. The expiration date is November 19

Hang in there people! I just checked my groupon account and its showing under the “available” tab. I even printed it out. Although i am yet to receive any confirmation email but i do get an email from groupon as soon as someone posts something on this forum as i checked the tab “Follow this topic by email” so groupon’s email system is up and running for sure!

According to the fine print, the better deal is to use the coupon after it expires:
“If Groupon is not redeemed by the expiration date above, it may be redeemed for a $25 Gap GiftCard in U.S. and Canada Gap stores only.”

won’t allow me to buy. keep getting message"amount is invalid. you must purchase exactly 1". i can’t enter any amount period
I’m trying to purchase this, but it keeps coming up saying that the amount is invalid. What should I do? I can’t change the amount- maybe the system is just overloaded? I would really like this deal.
can we buy from different cities? and if so, do we need to use them in those cities, or can we use them locally?
Just tried again here at 10:45 p.m. -that makes 12 hrs. of trying to get a gift card for $25.00 and one for myself for $25.00-same problem -Says,"invalid number, must purchase one blah,blah,blah. I see that in the past 4 hrs. another 4500 were purchased which makes over 9,000 groupons purchased.
Is it just So. Calif./Los Angeles areas having the problems and
how are people still purchasing Gap Groupons and myself and other people in this section are still not able to purchase these?
Last item I saw that said sorry something is broken and we are trying to get it fixed was hours ago….is a representative going to answer everyone’s questions? Soon? Only one hour to go and then I shan’t be able to appease my desire to be a consumer.
The got the confirmation email saying – “When you’re ready to use your Groupon, you can print it here: http://www.groupon.com/mygroupons”. When I clicked the link, I do not see any coupon to print. HELP!
Got email confirmation and email has a link that leads me to my account ‘MY STUFF’ and I do not see any coupons.
Eileen just read the previous response several hours ago saying you can only buy 1 which is why it won’t let me buy a gift for someone if I buy one for myself. OK – so I will just buy one for me – but the number 1 is in gray and even if I just hit submit and don’t do anything to the quantity, it still says invalid number blah,blah,blah.
As to you saying that you can only buy one, how is it that comments above, state some have purchased from 2-4 of these today.
I keep trying but I can’t get it to work. My wife’s trying on her account as well and it keeps telling her to sign in, when she already is. I don’t want to buy it for another city since I’m not sure if it will still work here in LA. I’m going to see if it says anything about that.
Mitch, it is a nationwide offer, so buy it from any city and it is still good in LA.

Thanks Wasabi, I just checked under “My Stuff”and it was there! I guess it went through without even telling me, which isn’t the best thing, but I’m glad it worked. I’m also glad the limit was for 1 so I didn’t accidentally buy 15!
i purchased one for myself; then, had the same problem as some of you when i tried to buy one as a gift.

SOME ORDERS ARE STILL PROCESSING- PLEASE BE PATIENT. We sold over 400,000 Groupons yesterday so the system is working through everything. If your order is processing then you will get your Groupon. All Groupons will be processed in a few days at most! Many people have started to redeem, so it won’t be too long! :)
If you received an quantity error message yesterday that means that you already purchased one. PLEASE Check your ‘My Groupons’ tab. It might be processing but you definitely got it.
Remember this is 1 PER PERSON. If you bought 1, you cannot buy any more. Please ready the fine print for clarification.

Mine showed up and I tried to print it, but my computer froze on me and I couldn’t print it. Once I restarted my computer, now it says I have used my coupon.
AGGGGHHHH! What do I do?
