Hey gang, Sean from Groupon. You can use this Groupon at any kind of Gap – Baby Gap, Gaps Kids, Gap Body, etc.
Clare — it’s neither. You’re essentially buying a $50 off coupon for $25. So once you buy this groupon you’ll bring it into a store and get $50 off any purchase. So if your bill totals $80, you’ll give them the groupon and only have to pay what’s over $50, which in this case is $30.

I don’t think this is that good a deal. You are basically paying $25 for a 50% off coupon that requires a $50 minimum purchase.
I get free coupons from Gap in the mail all the time. For example this past week I used a 40% off coupon that I received in the mail; it had no minimum purchase requirements and it was even valid with Gap Rewards (this groupon is not).

You pay $25, you get a Groupon good for $50. You take $50+ worth of goods to the cashier and you don’t have to pay anything else (except whatever goes above the initial $50.)
It is valid at babyGap, KidsGap, and GapBody and at ALL GAP STORES. Not online.

I think people need to read….all these questions are the same.
1. You can use it at any gap, gap body, gap kids in the country.
2. You CANT use at an affilliate (old navy etc)
3. You can buy one.
4. That one can be given away or used by you.
5. Its no one per family. One per person. So you can buy one, and your mom, and your dad etc.
6. Your TOTAL purchase MUST be $50. Its not one item, but a total of $50

Just to reiterate, here’s some basic info about the deal today:
It expires November 19th.
It cannot be used online or at Old Navy, Banana Republic, or Gap outlet stores. It is good for babyGap, KidsGap, and GapBody.
You can buy a maximum of 1 of these, even if you are buying a gift.
This cannot be combined with other offers, including the Friends & Family deals.
These are not transferrable, so the person whose name is on the Groupon must be the person who is using it.
If you’re experiencing some technical troubles with the site, I suggest reloading the page until it works for you.
If you continue to experience trouble and need to leave the site for a while, just check back before the end of the day and buy your Groupon then!

I have a gift card for $25 in my groupon account, but am still asked for credit card info. Will my cc get charged or will the gc be used?
I hope this has not been answered yet. I read through all the posts and have not seen this question before. When I try to buy this deal it takes me to the “Select Payment Method” page. It asks me to fill in all my payment/credit card info. I’m signed in. Shouldn’t it just be able to pull up that info? I just want to confirm this should be what I’m seeing. I’ve never had to put in my credit card info again after my first initial purchase before so this seemed very strange… Thanks in advance!

Hi, I asked this question earlier but perhaps did not phrase it clearly: I would like to know if the 86th and Bway Gap is considered one of the eligible stores or if it is a Gap Outlet, Gap Factory Store, etc. I understand that the groupon is valid for any store that is not a Gap Outlet, Gap Factory Store, etc, but do not know how to tell which locations are just the regular (eligible) stores.

Rachel K: While signed in to Groupon, click on “My Stuff” then “My Groupons” and you should see it in there with the words “Your order is currently being processed.”
They are just getting so many they can’t process them fast as usual…

Karen-I have never been able to use a Groupon a day of purchase. It’s always the following day that I can start using it. I think you can get your money back by calling customer service.

I am already ordered my coupon but how I could have that coupon from gap 50% off that I did pay by credit card.
How can we guarantee that we will get the credit for referring friends today if the site has been going up and down? I know 3 people who already ordered this from my referral and I think I’ll have 3 more by end of today.
I finally managed to buy it and had to resubmit all my info. I did not like doing that because it felt unsecure to me. I don’t know if all this trouble (took me the better half of my day) was worth it to be able to finally buy this groupon… Maybe releasing this deal simultaneously across (what looks like all cities in US and Canada?) was not the best of ideas when your system obviously can’t handle it. I have worked with another site that crashed massively due to high traffic. Ours was probably on a worse scale because it was global. But you live and you learn. Let’s hope next time you guys will be ready for the masses of grouponistas. :) Is this a record for the most groupons ever bought in a 24 hour period? Oh yes, bonus points for landing a deal with a big company like the Gap guys! :)

I’ve had this issue before. You e-mail groupon customer service and tell them the e-mail address your referrals used to sign up for and purchase their first groupon. I hope you used your unique referral link?

If you referred somebody it usually takes more than 24 hours for Groupon to send you the credit for the referral. And the credit is used the next time you make a purchase.
I keep getting a message that the amount is invalid and it should be 1. But the field is already autofilled and uneditable with the number 1. So I guess come back in a couple of hours?

Nahid- I was getting that msg also, the quantity was invalid. Check your account to see that your purchase didn’t go through. I found that after multiple attempts, one of them managed to work and I had the groupon in my folder.

I purchased a this groupon earlier today. I thought it didn’t go through, so I purchased again. The second purchase showed in my “My groupons” folder, the first didn’t. $50 was taken out of my bank account. Will I be refunded the extra $25?

You can buy whatever you want not just ONE item, it can be from any store Adult, Kid, Baby, Maternity, Body. You could be in New York, and use your groupon in a GAP store in LA.
This groupon does not expire today, you have from today until November 19, 2010 to use it.
If you don’t get your groupon today don’t start feeling suicidal it’s do to the high volume of GAP groupons being issued, but you’ll get it sooner or later, and yes before Nov. 19, 2010
You can technically buy more then one groupon by buying from different cities, even though I think this is a way of getting around the whole 1 per Account groupon RULE, and if your honest like me you’ll only buy one from the city you live in :wink: :wink:
If your having problems opening your groupon in Adobe, try going to View→ then REFLOW
you’ll know you have all the groupon in view when you see a unique code in the lower right of the groupon.
IF THIS STILL does not work get the latest version of adobe reader on your computer, and yes it’s a free download, and no you don’t have to pay $159 for it.
And no I don’t work for groupon, but I do read the fine print, and use common sense.

PS In all honesty GAP stores policies vary from one sales associate to another, so I would not be surprised if some of you try using your rewards, BOGO, or any other coupon offer, and some will let you actually do that, and others won’t. So my advice try combining if they let you great if not your still getting $50 worth of clothes for $25.00

for those people getting “illegal operation inside a path” this might be caused by your Adobe Reader software being outdated. Try upgrading your reader to the latest version and see if that solves the issue.
I “purchased” one this morning, but never got a confirmation email or anything and it never showed up in “my groupons” list. So i just bought it again. i checked my credit card and the first one was not charged. i did get a confirmation number with the first one however. what’s going on?
I referred several people today and 2 people came back to me to tell me that the referral link I shared with them (no typos, I checked) did not work. So I missed out on 2 $20 referrals today for this deal. Can I receive credit for them? I know they purchased the deal!

If you received an quantity error message yesterday that means that you already purchased one. PLEASE Check your ‘My Groupons’ tab. It might be processing but you definitely got it.

I haven’t received my Gap groupon yet. My card has been charged…..what do I do?
I purchased 2 groupons using 2 different credit cards, all under the same account name. Does that infringe on the fine print details? I only received 1 confirmation e-mail for 1 groupon, and in my account I only see 1 gap groupon. However, both cards we’re charged. What does this mean?

Got through to them via phone— first charge was a hold, second charge was the actual charge. The first charge should disappear today or tomorrow.
I got an email saying that my order had been processed (and my credit card has been charged), but I still can’t access the groupon when I sign in to my account (it doesn’t list any groupons under my account). Is anyone else still having problems getting this Gap offer?

Just wanted to comment that I went to use my Groupon for this today and the 25% off stacked!!! They are having a promo for 25% off everything in the store. Everything total came to $65.98 with the discount then Groupon came out to $0 out of my pocket. So if you haven’t used your cert yet, go do it now!!
I heard that in Illinois the Groupon can’t expire. Is that the case with this GAP coupon? I didn’t use it in time.
