Great class, great instructor and left full every time!

Expert instructors lead hands-on classes that impart fall-themed dishes, including stuffed brie, pork tenderloin & pumpkin risotto

The kitchen is statistically the most dangerous room in a home because it contains the highest concentration of knives, open flames, and pots full of semi-living lobsters. Learn to navigate this danger zone with today’s Groupon: for $45, you get the fall-menu cooking class at Gaynor’s School of Cooking (a $95 value). Choose from the following dates:

  • Friday, November 4
  • Friday, November 11
  • Friday, November 18
  • Monday, November 28
  • Tuesday, November 29<p>

All classes run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m and feature the same menu. Class times may be subject to rescheduling.

Since 1994, chef Gaynor Grant’s school has produced restaurant owners and caterers while remaining accessible to students of all skill levels and interests. Exclusive to Groupon buyers, each fall-menu cooking class teaches up to 18 aspiring chefs advanced apron-tying techniques and how to craft season-celebrating dishes, starting with garlic clouds and baked brie stuff with sun-dried tomatoes. Students then learn to surprise taste buds at the salad course, assembling a cranberry-walnut salad glazed in walnut vinaigrette. For main courses, kitchen commanders spice up pork tenderloin with pears and apricots and enliven risotto with pumpkin grown on fairy-godmother-approved farms. Class concludes as confectioners whip together chocolate soufflé. Gaynor’s fully equipped kitchen spaces supply students with all the necessary ingredients and utensils, including salad tongs for fencing with swordfish.

Gaynor instills the cooking basics with humor and other interesting tidbits of information. An enjoyable evening or learning with great meals and wine.

A great evening learning new techniques, trying recipes I'd avoided in the past but now see are easily doable, met new people and working as team was fun. And of course sitting down to enjoy the feast was wonderful. Very well organized and run. Andrew, the professional instructor was absolutely great. Highly recommend for mother/daughter; dates; children activities. If you enjoy cooking this is a fun way to do it.
