I’m the marketing coordinator for Genghis Grill. The coupon is only valid at particpating locations which are Duncanville, Uptown Dallas and Garland at the Firewheel Town Center.

The coupon is good for dine in and take out options. It expires on 7/26/2010.

Groupon is going to miss a lot of sales b/c of the limited locations. I hope those that bought are reading the fine print!!

I just bought the “Deal”. It listed Garland as a location to redeem the coupon. When I went to print it, the garland location is not listed only 2 others. Will I be able to redeem at Garland- Firewheel? Thanks,Alan

I was just about to buy it, but it can not be used at the Greenville location in Dallas. boo :(

It does not say what the limit is. If I have a large party can I use more than one? What’s the limit?

Azucena-Any limitations will be listed in the fine print section. You can find that it states “1 per visit” and “1 per table” so you would only be able to use 1 Groupon per table and per visit.

Alan-You can use this at the Garland location with no problem.

Alan B— You will still be able to redeem the coupon in our Garland – Firewheel Town Center location.

Azucena B— There is a limit of one coupon per table, per visit. So you wouldn’t be able to use two coupons on the same visit for a large party.

I have never been there so I went to there website and saw the menu. The 8.99 price that you are showing is the only price shown. Is that the price for all the items?

The Uptown location is pretty centrally located. It is a huge store with a really nice outdoor patio area. Remember that free parking is downstairs in the garage.

I bought 4 and live 5 minutes from the one in Duncanville! Whoo hoo!!!!!!

Get the groupon yal! The $8.99 is for the all you can eat never ending bowl! You can get as much as u want and try as many combinations as u want for that price! The food is always fresh since you select what u want and they cook it right before your eyes! I love Genghis and you will too! also, the Garland location is in a mall, so you can shop and eat without wasting gas traveling to a restaurant! What a great Groupon!

I bought 3 about an hour ago but it’s still “being process”. This is my first time using groupon so I don’t know if that is normal.

I’m trying to update my credit card in Google Chrome… that didn’t work. Tried adding it… that didn’t work.

Tried doing the same thing in IE 8… update didn’t work… adding didn’t work. Says there are script errors. Obviously, plenty of people are having success but in both browsers… that’s a bit weird. Please check into it if you can.

Have not used a groupon before and was curious how these are used (is it more like a coupon or gift card?). If my bill is less than the ammount of the groupon, is there any out of pocket expense that must be paid by me at that time? Tip, I am guessing can not be taken out of the groupon, is that correct?

I had the same problem as Frederick. Editing CC doesn’t work on order page.
Had to back out of the order and add my CC back in “My Account”
I am using Safari on MAC.

“Expires 07/26/2010
Limit 1 per table, 1 per visit. Not valid for alcohol purchases. Tax and gratuity not included. Read the Deal FAQ for the basics”

Wish you were doing this at the Old Town location! I’d jump on it!

This is my first time to use Groupon. I didn’t realize it wasn’t good at the new Mesquite location. Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel if it hasn’t finished processing – which it probably hasn’t because I bought mine over an hour ago and it still hasn’t finished.

At the top right of the page hover over “My Stuff” and then select “My Groupons”.
It will take you to a list of the Groupons you have purchased.

Find the Genghis Grill Groupon, click on “Edit Purchase” .. . on the bottom of the edit page is a link that says “I’d like to cancel my purchase”

Hi, I was wondering if I can use this with a giftcard? I know you can’t combine it w/ other promotions but giftcards are like money so I was curious. Thanks

Katherine- This is a coupon. There is no out of pocket expense for the meal (unless you spend more money than the groupon is worth- so if you spent, say, $30 at Genghis, you would have to pay an additional $5), but if you spend less than $25, you do not get any cash back. Tip (and any tax) usually need to be paid separately.

Groupon is great! bought 2 for Genghis Grill. Just remember tax & tip not included. Also, If you don’t use the total value amount you do not get cash back or credit.

I wanted to get some too, but we usually go to the locations in Addison or Hurst.

Melanie: If you are waiting for your Groupon to print out or to edit the quantity (or cancel), you can go to My Stuff > My Groupons on the right side of the top navigation bar.

I personally have always received the daily Groupon e-mail but have never received my order confirmation for about four different Groupons I’ve purchased since July. This may have something to do with the fact that we’ve linked Groupon to our Facebook accounts shrug

Rachel: I don’t believe there would be a restriction in terms of additional payment methods, as a Groupon is simply a discounted, initial method of payment and a gift card is just a subsequent way to pay the remainder with instead of a credit card or cash.

Basically, I don’t believe any double-dipping exists since one is discounted and the other is simply paying the rest of the amount at regular price.

I’m trying to order two. So far it looks like I ordered either one or three. Changed it several times so I’m not sure anymore. On the groupon page it says 1 and *2. I got a confirmation for one. Is there any way to find out?

Debra: The information you’re getting with the -— 1 and -— 2 is on My Groupons, right? If you click the “Edit Purchase” link next to the Groupons, the quantity should say the number you desire.

What I think you’re looking at is the Groupon number. Each user’s Groupon purchase on a particular day is grouped together with a suffix that indicates that particular Groupon’s number.

For example, your Groupon number may be 0123456 (which you won’t see until either of the two conditions I’ve listed below), followed by -1. If you ordered 4, it would be listed as

Groupon numbers are not generated until (a) you print them or (b) the clock strikes midnight and the deal is ‘on’ (as in, enough people have purchased it to make the deal a success… in this case, the deal is an immense success). Hope that clears up some confusion.

(Disclaimer for all of the responses I’ve provided: I don’t work for Groupon, never have, but have read these forums enough to the point where I hope this info. is accurate.)

Hi. Does anyone know what is taking so long? I had some glitches with it and don’t know how many actually went through. I can’t order another one until I know and I have been waiting all afternoon for it to process.

i called GG in garland and spoke to the manager…he said they do honor the groupon and the regular bowls are $8.99 and the bottomless is $13.99 so it’s still a great deal! you can leave buying only your drinks and tip! great deal! the notes in groupon says it might take 24 hours to receive your groupon. i have always wanted to go here and now i will try it. cool deal.

We did have trouble with our save button earlier this morning. If you did, in fact, purchase then it should be in your “My Groupons” even though it may say that the transaction is currently being processed.

I just tried to purchase today’s groupon and it is not showing up in “My Groupons.” I tried it again and it again did not show up in “My Groupons.” I wish to only purchase one but I do not know if any of my orders have been processed.

Just bought my first Groupon offer. Happy enough with it, but seems like it would have alleviated a lot of confusion had the third location been printed on the coupon (Firewheel location)…just would have taken 2 more lines and there was plenty of room on the bottom of the coupon. Seems like a hassle to have to discuss the detail at all with your server at the point of use. I see many comments questioning the omission of the Firewheel location, so I’m not alone in my thinking.

I called customer service so emailing them isn’t going to do anything. No one is giving me a reason to why this is not working for me. It’s not showing up in My Groupons and the entry just disappeared from my bank. Before it said I was charged $0.00 and now its completely gone.
This is my first groupon offer to try to buy, and I won’t be doing it anymore. This is terribly confusing and I didn’t get anything even though I tried to buy it twice and no one could help me either.

Is there a minimum purchase amount for the Egg and I?

I used my first Genghis Group this week. (The first of seven….)

Unfortunately, I was not able to use the Groupon for a “side item” – my kids quesadilla. I am hoping that she was just mistaken, and will try again next time. Thus, I just got two bowls for free, a ~$20 value and not the full $25.

I wonder if I bought three bowls (cost ~$30), if they would take off exactly $25 from the ticket, or just two bowls. That will be my next experiment with this Groupon.
