Can these be used on a laptop or desktop computer for programs such as Skype? I only see one jack on the BassBuds. On the computer, I assume that goes into the socket where you plug in headphones, but how do you plug in the mic? I dont see a jack that would go into a microphone socket. You need to have the mic working so people can hear you on skype. Thanks.

These have one standard 3.5mm jack, similar to the default earbuds that come with Apple devices. The mic would not work on a computer requiring two separate jacks.

These would work for audio with any device with a 3.5mm jack.
Regarding smartphone use, the remote and mic are supported by all smartphones (not all models support volume up/down functions). Audio is supported by all iPod models.
