Can you explain how the expresso beans are obtained and used? Does this use pods and if so what brands does it accommodate? Is there a sperate dispenser/receptacle for the milk/creamer or is that a pod also?

You can used ground coffee or purchase ESE (Easy Serving Espresso) pods from different brands in some grocery stores and coffee shops. You can also do a quick search to see where they can be purchased online. This can be used to froth milk. There is not a separate receptacle. The steamer bar extends out the left side.
