Harley Pasternak's Hollywood Workout

After earning a master of science degree in exercise physiology and nutritional sciences, certified trainer Harley Pasternak headed to Hollywood to train celebrities including Lady Gaga, Jessica Simpson, Katy Perry, and Robert Pattinson. His exclusive five-factor, five-days-a-week fitness program is designed to exercise the entire body in just 25 minutes, ideal for actors fitting in a workout between sets or CEOs multitasking during a conference call. Five-minute intervals include a cardio warm-up, upper-body strength training, core work, and lower-body strength training, and a cardio cooldown. The sessions blend cardio with calisthenics such as trunk-cross rotations and squats.

Harley’s Kinect or Wii program invites home users to track their progress, grab diet and nutrition tips, and choose between à la carte workouts or specially designed 5- or 10-week programs. Users can also choose where to virtually work out, from a downtown L.A. loft to a metaphysical loft accessible only via the astral plane.
