I have read here that the difference between the Smash Box and the Street Beat options is that the Street Beat option has an external volume control that is much preferred for bike riders. Does the SMASH BOX have any sort of volume control, or the volume is to be adjusted on the device itself?

Would a cell phone be progected from moisture while in this case? Not waterproof but moisture proof as in steam in a bathroom when the shower is on. Thanks!

Yes - they would be moisture proof. Just stick it on a dry sink while you're sudsin' and jam away!
