Hi! Are the turntables belt driven?

Ibrahim M. asked 8 months, 16 days, 8 hours, and 10 minutes ago - 1 answer

George S.

Hi, per the manufacturer's description of the platter: "The Motor Drive Belt can be found on the drive ring underneath the platter."

If the Profile Pro also includes the ability to convert music from cassette tapes, why was the other one originally $99? Do they have the insert adapter for 45rpm records? I have a Mac Pro. Will that work. It does allow cd's and dvd's to be played? Thanks! Carol

Carol M. asked 8 months, 16 days, 8 hours, and 3 minutes ago - 1 answer

George S.

Hi Carol. Thanks for the question. Unfortunately I can't speak to the reasoning for the manufacturer's list pricing, other than that both are accurately listed per the manufacturer's pricing. If you think you might use the aux input, the pro might suit your needs better. I'd suggest visiting the manufacturer's web site if you would like more details and manuals for both.

Both have adapters for 45s. Per the manufacturer's specifications, they are compatible with Mac OS X, iOS and with Windows (98SE and up).

Does the system come with the connectors needed to get to the computer? If not what connectors/cables are needed? Second question: i assume per the other Q&As that you need a cassette player/8 track player with output jacks to record from these types of sources - correct? Again are the connectors/cable provided and if not what is needed to connect to the computer?

guy t. asked 8 months, 16 days, 8 hours, and 42 minutes ago - 2 answers

George S.

Hi Guy. Yes, you would need output jacks on an external device, but a headphone jack would suffice. A headphone jack typically is 1/8" so, you could just connect a 1/8" stereo cable from the device's headphone jack to the aux input. The turntables also include a slipmat, 45 RPM Adapter, USB Cable, CD, Quickstart Guide, & Safety Instructions & Warranty Information. You can find much more detail if you view the manufacturer's site online.

Please note that the aux input is only on the Profile Pro.

Nancy H. asked 8 months, 16 days, 8 hours, and 40 minutes ago - 1 answer

George S.

Hi Nancy. I'm sorry, but these only support 33 or 45 rpm.

Is there a way to get output to a stereo with rca jack imput

George T. asked 8 months, 16 days, 8 hours, and 37 minutes ago - 1 answer

George S.

Yes, you would just need to connect RCA audio cables (not included).

George S. answered 8 months, 16 days, 7 hours, and 57 minutes ago

It says that the turntable has a preamp. Does that mean that it doesn't play the record out of the turntable, it HAS to be connected to a speaker in order to play? Looked for answer online first, couldn't find it! Thanks, Stefanie

Stefanie S. asked 8 months, 16 days, 10 hours, and 49 minutes ago - 1 answer

George S.

Hi Stefanie. It does not have a built-in speaker, so you would need to connect it to a stereo system or receiver if you wished to play without using your computer. You would need to use RCA cables to connect to a stereo's line level inputs (not a phono input)

please clarify : is the difference between the pro and the lp model that the pro can also convert cassettes and other audio to digital form? also, is the digital saved on CD or DVD or both? thank you.

Sue L. asked 8 months, 16 days, 10 hours, and 38 minutes ago - 1 answer

George S.

Hi Sue. Both tables connect to a computer via USB to create the digital versions of the LPs on your computer. The Pro also allows this via the 1/8" jack if you connect a source such as a tape player or other source.

George S. answered 8 months, 16 days, 9 hours, and 47 minutes ago

Hi! I would like to be the first to buy the item, but I would like to know what the difference is between the two items. Thank you!

Roni F. asked 8 months, 16 days, 14 hours, and 26 minutes ago - 1 answer

George S.

Hi Roni. The Profile Pro also includes a 1/8-inch aux input, allowing you to convert music from sources such as cassette tapes and 8-tracks.
