Hi Scott. The 12” being offered has a very similar construction and feel to the St. Lucia and the 8” is almost identical to the St. Barts, the outer fabric may be a drop different but you will get all the same great features and benefits and the best night’s sleep imaginable.

You may use an existing box spring if it is in relatively good condition, a foundation or a platform bed.

The manufacturer strongly recommends the 12” for you and your husband. It has a very plush feel, yet provides plenty of support. Otherwise, the 8” will still be fine, just not as luxurious. This mattress does not need to be flipped or turned. It is essentially maintenance free.
