The neat scanners are designed to be document scanners and we do not recommend scanning photos. You can import photos into the Neat Digital Filing System, however, the software does not have any photo editing capabilities.

All of our refurbished products come with the most recent versions of their respective operating systems. Additionally, the software can be upgraded at no additional cost. The software will automatically check for newer versions upon installation.

I need the software for both a PC and a Mac...is it possible to download software for one if I purchase the other? If so, is there a cost to download the additional software?

If you purchase either the PC or the MAC, the consumer can contact Neat's customer service department via Web or Phone can get the other version at no additional cost.

NeatReceipts -- Does the software work with Windows 8? Once scanned can the data be imported into QuickBooks? Since this is refurbished what is the warranty?

Yes, the software does work with Windows 8. All software is also upgradable to the most recent versions at no cost. Also, the PC versions can sync directly to QuickBooks. There is a set up tool under the "Export" tab. The MAC version does not. Intuit does not support 3rd party imports on their MAC version.
This item comes with a 6 month warranty.

Yes, the scanner can accommodate yellow documents and receipts. There is a background removal tool that will make it white.
