Hi Elliot! The trays have 5-7 full treatments and the bonus whitening pen has 14 full treatments. They sell refills at www.smilesciences.com.

Some people will see immediate results and most will notice after 1-3 uses. Depending on your eating and drinking habits (red wines, coffee, tea, and mustard are most staining) you will need to touch up in 4-6 months. The included whitening pen will help maintain results.

How long does the whitened teeth last for? And when it says custom trays how does that work? Do you need to go in somewhere to get custom trays fitted?

Hi Malia! Sorry for the delay! Everyone is different and results may vary. Included is a whitening pen with 14 treatments so you can continue to whiten for the rest of the year.

You will fit the trays yourself. You will boil and bite them so that they form to fit your teeth. Instructions are included.

The gel has a shelf life of a year as long as it is stored in a relatively cool place.
