Questions and Answers

I bought one for myself and want to by one as a birthday present. I noticed you said this was possible above but Groupon is not allowing this, a message keeps popping up saying "only one per person". Is there a way around this?

Chelsea T. asked 1 year, 1 month, 15 days, 4 hours, and 8 minutes ago - 1 answer

Christian J.

You should be able to purchase another one but it needs to ship to another address. You cannot ship 2 or more to the same address.

is this product BPA free?

Jesse A. asked 1 year, 1 month, 16 days, 7 hours, and 30 minutes ago - 3 answers

Christian J.

I'm not quite sure what BPA stands for. Please explain.

Christian J. answered 1 year, 1 month, 16 days, 6 hours, and 34 minutes ago

Bisphenol A (BPA) is an organic compound with the chemical formula (CH3)2C(C6H4OH)2. It is used to make polycarbonate polymers and epoxy resins, along with other materials used to make plastics. BPA is controversial because it exerts weak, but detectable, hormone-like properties, raising concerns about its presence in consumer products and foods contained in such products.

I just learned that it is BPA free.

does this come w/ a recipe book? i would be interested in this product because i have seen "raw food" cookbooks that use this technique.

Jodi R. asked 1 year, 1 month, 15 days, 7 hours, and 3 minutes ago - 1 answer

Christian J.

Hi Jodi, it does not come with a recipe book. When I got mine, I Googled "spiral slicer" and came up with more recipes than I could handle. There is also lots of UTUBE videos showing how to use it and giving great ideas on recipes as well.

It sounds as if this slicer is only meant for extremely fine slicing. Therefore am I correct to assume it doesn't cut widely enough to slice apples for pies just as not wide enough to cut potatoes for breakfast home fries?

Linda S. asked 1 year, 1 month, 15 days, 8 hours, and 24 minutes ago - 1 answer

Christian J.

Your are correct in your assumptions. The largest that it can cut is 6mm which is almost a 1/4" inch. And the slicing blade does thin cuts like you see in the picture. If you're looking for something to slice apples for pie, post another question like this one and I can send you a link for our aple slicer.

Am I really looking at 2 weeks for delivery?

April G. asked 1 year, 1 month, 15 days, 10 hours, and 4 minutes ago - 1 answer

Christian J.

Hi April, give or take a day or two depending on what state you live in. These will ship from California, but as you can imagine, there is a lot of them to ship. I promise that it's worth the short wait.

Christian J.

Hi Patricia. It can only cut in spirals. Thank you.
