No, the heaviness of that bulb looking portion will be too heavy and it will tip the ZAPI over.

Hello, how often if anytime at all would you need to replace the zapi? Not the batteries but the machine itself. Or the same question of how long would the product itself last with replacing the batteries and maintaining it? Thank you!

The Zapi bulb is rated to last over 8000 hours of use (at 6 minute run cycle each time). As long as its taken care of and instructions are followed it should not need replacing for a few years.
