The Bump in the Night tour lasts 60 minutes. Led by a an experienced guide dressed in period clothing, the family-friendly tour explores the spookier corners of the Savannah Historic District. During the 90-minute Paranormal tour, paranormal researchers from Travel Channel's The Dead Files lead groups of no more than 13 through a number of haunted locations. Final destinations include Moon River Brewing Company, the 200-year-old building that was featured on Syfy's Ghost Hunters, and Tondee's Tavern, where groups can explore the bar's historic slave quarters circa 1855.
Historic Adventures does the seemingly impossible by combining the fun and excitement of summer camp with things that go bump in the night. Under close supervision of adults, kids sharpen their ghost-hunting skills during daytime excursions to historic mansions, deserted buildings, and unfinished basements without any pool tables or TVs. Here, they learn about spooky sightings and local history, while using ghost-hunting devices such as thermal night-vision imaging, electrical meters, and recording devices. Experienced tour guides, including several adept in research and have special training in helping and instructing autistic children, lead the way as groups hop aboard a trolley to reach their various destinations. The camp gives kids a chance to bond over their love of spooky stuff, all the while teaching historical research, photography, writing and listening skills, respect, and focus.
Aside from summer camps, regular ghost tours also lead guests through scary spots including mansions dating back to the early 1800s. Tours regale visitors with information about each location and how to tactfully ask a ghost to wash its sheet. Continually adding to a record of spooky sightings, Historic Adventures' guides not only revisit popular haunted locations but regularly venture into uncharted, eerie buildings as well.
