The Scouting Report

On September 18, Alaska Fighting Championship awakens from its four-month slumber and crashes back into the cage at George M. Sullivan Sports Arena. A fight card with nine total bouts sets the new season in motion, anchored by the main event: a light-heavyweight showdown between Mike "The Cannon" Fannon and middleweight champion Andy "Tankmode" Enz. In the co-main event, local favorite Tommy "Pot Belly Assassin" Ide looks to avenge his teammate—who recently lost to Nick "The Outlaw" Taylor—in the ring rather than through years of neglected birthdays. A clash between number-one heavyweight contenders rounds out the card, pitting longtime AFC bruiser Jason "Showtime" Coomes against undefeated youngster Jared "The Killa Gorilla" Cannonier.
