On December 14, Legacy Fighting Championship 16 pummels the Allen Event Center with a 13-match fight card showcasing Legacy veterans as well as rising DFW-area talent. Topping the bill, Will Campuzano and Jimmy Flick step inside the Legacy cage to battle for the flyweight title, scrapping with punishing blows and surprise blasts of bug spray. The match comes heralded by much anticipation: the two were scheduled to compete at Legacy FC 13, but a training injury derailed Campuzano at the time. Earlier in the evening, 12–8 featherweight Rey Trujillo seeks to hand 9–0 Chas Skelly his first loss, and undefeated bantamweights Nelson Salas and Eli Tamez square off for the first time since they sparred as amateurs.
