Watching a drag racer succeed is supremely satisfying, though curiously, so is watching a dam fail. Feel the rush with this GrouponLive deal to see the American Drag Racing League's World Finals VIII at Texas Motorplex. Choose from the following options:

  • $7 for a one-day pass for general admission (up to a $15 value). Choose between the following dates:

    • Friday, October 19
    • Saturday, October 20

  • $12 for a two-day pass for general admission on both days (up to a $25 value)

For each day, gates open at 9:30 a.m., and races begin at noon. Children aged 12 and younger receive free admission.

The American Drag Racing League takes to the 1/8-mile dragstrip at Texas Motorplex for two days of straight-line, rubber-melting races in the final set of races on the 2012 ADRL tour. Piloting dragsters separated into seven all-professional racing classes, from Top Sportsman to Pro Extreme, drivers rocket down the track so quickly that they finish each race younger than when they began. The SuperCar Showdown—a new feature on the 2012 circuit—pits the latest consumer automobiles against one another in a no-holds-barred drag race free from the usual handicaps and performance restrictions. On Sunday, October 21, the Racer Appreciation and Awards Gala (tickets are $25 and not included with this Groupon) concludes the season with an awards ceremony to honor this year's class champions with trophies they can smelt down and use to patch their tired radiators.

Though American Drag Racing League offers discounted admission for children younger than 12, this Groupon still offers the best deal available for adults.
