What You’ll Do
One of the most powerful preventative medicines can be found on your tableware. Join nutrition masters Andrea Mattson and Dietrich McGaffey for a lesson in the foodie chemistry of human health—overviewing how flora and fauna are used as medicine in various cultures, and how oils, seeds, fruits, veggies, and beneficial bacteria tap into the body’s innate knowledge. After learning the basics, you’ll get hands-on to craft your own sumptuous vegetarian meal, focusing in particular on seasonal and local Midwestern produce.
