What You'll Do
For centuries, local taverns served not only as bars, but also as restaurants and hotels, bringing together citizens of all walks of life within their raucous walls. During this walking tour, New York–history expert Annaline Dinkelmann delves into the surprising—often lawless—stories behind the Financial District's most historic watering holes. You'll visit such institutions as Delmonico's and Fraunces Tavern—the spot where George Washington bade farewell to his officers with a magnificent turtle feast.

New York History Expert
Working in Morgan Stanley's Information Technology Department, Annaline Dinkelmann had plenty of opportunity to acquaint herself with the Financial District. She put that knowledge to good use in 2007 when she started Wall Street Walks, a sightseeing company dedicated to exploring the history of the stock market and the neighborhood that houses it.
