The Scouting Report

Currently in third in the National League's West Division, the Arizona Diamondbacks eye a series of wins against the slumping Oakland A's in an interleague weekend series. Right fielder and two-time All-Star selection Justin Upton continues to bolster the D-backs offense this season, amassing 20 RBIs and more than 30 runs through 48 games, and reliever J.J. Putz, who has converted 11 of his first 14 save opportunities, emerges from the bullpen ready to buck off any opposing player who jumps on his back.

Fans can stick around after Friday evening's game for a fireworks show in the skies over Chase Field courtesy of Gila River Casinos, and on Saturday, the stadium celebrates Star Wars with costumed characters, movie clips, and the PA announcer's translations of his Wookiee's excited growls. On Sunday, the first 5,000 kids to enter the stadium receive a Fathead of mascot D. Baxter the Bobcat, sponsored by Pepsi.
