In the first 12 years of his career, Jackson scored 20 No. 1 singles and 20 Top 10 hits. A decade later, one of the most popular male country singers of the 1990s still induces knee weakness with his resonating baritone voice, steady guitar strumming, and light-brown mustache, a facial accessory that promised to never pursue a solo career in exchange for a 10% cut of his record sales.
