In a Nutshell

Starting quarterback and team captain Keith Price leads the Huskies against Portland State in the third week of the 2012 campaign

The Fine Print

A football's distinctive construction allows it to be thrown in a tight spiral, kicked through the uprights, or filled with helium so that it can return to its mother, the blimp overhead. Take possession with this GrouponLive deal: for $36, you get one ticket in sections 300–302, 343, or 344 to see the University of Washington Huskies football team take on the Portland State University Vikings at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, at CenturyLink Field (up to a $73.67 value, including all fees). Because the ticket is a G-Pass, Groupon customers can use it to enter the venue directly; they will not need to redeem their Groupon at will call.

The brassy melodies of the University of Washington pep band charge the air above CenturyLink Field, where the Huskies rumble into the third week of their 2012 campaign in a showdown against the Portland State University Vikings. Exiled for the season from their post at Husky Stadium—which is under renovation—the Huskies hope to make their temporary house at CenturyLink Field feel more like home with the precise passes of second-year starting quarterback Keith Price, the pesky defense of senior cornerback Desmond Trufant, and chocolate-chip cookies baked with motherly tenderness by fourth-year Head Coach Steve Sarkisian. In his first full season under center, Price showed conspicuous promise, breaking UW single-season records in touchdowns (33) and completion percentage (0.669) and leading the squad to a 7–6 overall record. Perched high above the field, spectators can look down upon a human mosaic of purple and gold, cheer on each pivotal first down, and audition for a role as a mascot by eating dog treats in celebration of every scoring drive.

Due to security restrictions, G-Passes must be printed out and presented in person at the event. They cannot be redeemed through Groupon's mobile app.

The Groupon Guide to: Having One Million Dollars

One million dollars is the largest amount of money any human can conceive of, much less accumulate over a lifetime. Here are the extravagant items you’re required to purchase once you achieve the only financial goal worth pursuing:

  • Portrait of yourself stroking a fluffy cat and/or skull
  • Carelessly amassed pile of boats
  • Rare Superman comic where he punches out Eisenhower
  • A roaring indoor fire
  • A man in white gloves who isn’t the butler, don’t hand him anything (wearing white gloves is the man’s entire job)
  • Ancient statue of a dead Greek hunk
  • Oh man, a pool table!

What extravagant item can no rich person live without?
