Chasing their sixth-straight playoff berth, the Atlanta Hawks swoop into Philips Arena prepared to defend their home court against a slew of Eastern Conference and divisional rivals. The team has pushed to a 3–3 start on the young season, sitting at second place in the Southeast Division through six games. Hawks fans munch popcorn and sip sodas from lower- or upper-bowl seats as the hometown superstars seek crucial divisional wins against foes from Orlando, Washington, and Charlotte. Atlanta Hawks

The Hawks migrated to Atlanta from St. Louis for the 1968–69 season and have since become a venerated local institution.
