The Jove Comedy Experience with Special Guests The Rejects and Mod 27
For 22 years, The Jove Comedy Experience has spread its off-the-cuff comedy across South Florida and seeded its members into television and Broadway shows. Joining them for the night are The Rejects, a new five-piece ensemble that combines comedy with song and dance, and Mod 27, whose 11-year tenure has included performances at improv festivals across the country. Throughout the night, all three troupes spin made-up scenes based on audience suggestions, as well as long-form improv and sketch comedy.
Named in honor of golf-course designer Bruce Borland, who died in a plane accident in 1999, the Borland Center swings open its doors to the community by focusing on family values. Concerts, plays, and recitals are just a few of the events that coax guests into the venue's 10,000 square feet of space, which harbors a 500-seat theater and a multipurpose ballroom that doubles as an indoor practice field for local cribbage teams on rainy days.
